This article provides travel distances to major destinations around Daewanguk, starting from the major points of entry into the realm. While the Sakju Chilseong gate seems to be the most logical way to travel to Daewanguk, it does come with severe restrictions, and a hefty price tag. For information about distances between the Koryo Hall of Adventures and other locations within Mudangguk, make sure to read the Koryo Hall of Adventures to Mudangguk article, and for the sailing routes, check out this article on Jeosung Sailing Routes.

BASE TRAVELING DISTANCE PER DAY
* On Land, Slow: 18 Miles (29 Km); on foot with luggage
* On Land, Normal: 24 Miles (38.5 Km); on horseback without spare horse
* On Land, Fast: 30 Miles (48 Km); on horseback with space horse
* Keelboat (River, Upstream): 10 Miles (16 Km); rowed or pulled
* Keelboat (River, Downstream): 13 Miles (21 Km); rowed or pulled
* Sailing Ship: 48 Miles (77 Km); sailed
* Warship: 60 Miles (96.5 Km); sailed and rowed

Note on traveling via the Ren: Both rowed keelboats and flat bed sail boats are available on the Ren, but they are subject to traffic and workload. Outside of rice harvesting season, boats can go as fast as 13 Miles (21 Km) per day with minimal stops. However, during harvest season, speed can be as low as 5 miles (8 Km) per day due to heavy traffic and numerous stops along the way to load cargo at the many loading platforms.

Note on traveling via the Ojihok Chilseongmun: While there is no fee at Samjihok Chilseongmun, the “arrival” fee at Ojihok Chilseongmun in Sakju is the equivalent of 3 gp per person, or 5 gp with cargo (it is plain and simple unashamed extortion). Also note that cargo is limited to whatever fits within the area of the Chilseong gate. Mounts do not travel through the gates because of that space restriction as well as because of the strain incurred on their mind during the teleportation.
