This crime series explores the abuse and murder of domestic animals throughout Korea, focusing on how social media is not only facilitating, but also enabling some people to increase the frequency of their crimes and then promote then for clout.

A 4-parts series for History channel Korea on the food found in the city of Busan. I was a consultant writer for this project. I worked on the narrative and highlighted the strengths and weaknesses of the content.

Role: Writer for multiple episodes

Pre-school multiple seasons series for national broadcasters in South Korea (KBS, SBS). It was a joint production between the UK and South Korea.

A fairy tale-like story where Linda’s special imagination allows her to become anything she wants in order to explore a world full of unknown.

When Linda finds a giant cat in the shop, she makes up a cat costume and heads to the land of giant cats to figure what makes them so big.

When Linda fails to figure out how to use a pogo stick in the shop, she makes up a kangaroo costume and heads to Australia to learn from the best jumpers in the world.

When Linda finds a stone with an oddly shaped footprint on it in the store, she makes up a dinosaur costume and heads to the land of dinosaurs to investigate.

Dinky is looking for a new place to discover but the toys must stay in the kids cafe. Seeing how sad he is, all the toys gather to make up a magical place for Dinky to discover.

All the toys are having fun making towers with all the books in the reading room, but when they start to jump from one tower to another, the Big Five must intervene to avoid the worst.

Teg has always dreamed to become a great detective. It seems that thanks to all of his friends, the day has finally come.

When the mice find themselves on a tight race to see which one is the fastest, a strange object falls on the track and traps them while they are speeding away. Time for the Big Five to save the day.

When the toys discover the magic of shadow play, they try to take Pr. Octopus’ tent sheet to use as a screen for their own shadow theater, but accidentally start-off a powerful vacuum device called the sucky-up-a-tron. The Big 5 must intervene to make sure no one gets hurt.

Korea’s quick growth resulted in much contrast between the old and young, and rural and urban. This documentary visually shows the different aspects of Korean life, and is narrated over by Koreans of all ages and backgrounds that are a part of it. Their narration examines their thoughts of the Korea around them, of the different generations, and of all of the changes they have seen and experienced throughout their lives. All of this is blended together to show the diverse aspects of one country that has tremendously transformed in such a short time.

My responsibilities on this documentary included finding and securing interviewees, finding and securing locations for the interviews, facilitating filming and ensuring that the documentary would make it to the end and be released.

When Diddle starts a boring new job painting a deserted rock, only to find his work covered up during his breaks, he takes it upon himself to investigate this mystery, and find that he may not be as alone as he had thought.

Paint Job is an experiment in Animation narrative for younger audiences. I wrote the script, commissioned artwork for character designs and locations, as well as the full storyboard (359 panels). This short film has yet to become more than a storyboard and the production of this short film is continuous, although the chances of it becoming a full fledged short film are very thin.

Plain-looking Minho is a 'First Timer' to men's grooming. His dream girl from college Emma calls him to a Lifestyle store. She professes her desire to go out with him only if he satisfies the 'looks' that society and she demand. Minho undergoes the full treatment from not only the Lifestyle Doctor but has to face up to the fearsome Master Barber aka 'The Fixer.'

The aim of the Division of Molecular Genetics at Samsung Medical Center in Korea is to provide a multidisciplinary approach to cancer and inherited genetic disorders, with a genome-based, individually tailored precision medicine.

Samsung Medical Center is an excellent place to do this. With a patient centered, multidisciplinary structure - foregoing the normal department oriented system and providing an integrated team to every patient - and as a completely paperless hospital with a state of the IT infrastructure, geneticists and their surrounding team can provide a world class service to patients with a wide range of diseases.

The Genomics Medicine Institute in collaboration with Macrogen has been applying the next-generation sequencing technologies towards studying the genomic architecture in the Asian population, identification of driver mutations in cancers and epigenomic mechanism of cell differentiation.

I was the development producer for this documentary. I developed the basic concept based on the main producer’s idea, and built the pitch, the treatment, and the proposal. Our team was selected to participate in the Crossing Borders Documentary development workshop in 2016. Unfortunately, the producer dropped the project in 2017.

I was the post production producer on this feature film, overseeing the editing, the reshoots, coloring and ADR work, and making sure that the film came to completion.

Haebangchon is a crime drama with an ensemble cast set a midst a mafia takeover of the small foreigner town. It features multiple characters on both sides of the conflict who are faced with their own personal needs for freedom that culminates into the larger story (similar to the movies 'Crash' and 'Go'). One of the subplots include the Mafia's extortion of a foreigner named Q (Kahlid Tapia) who is forced to sell a large amount of marijuana in order to leave with his life, the problem is, he's not a very good drug dealer and he loses the weed. Another one hinges on the mafia's slavery of one of its henchmen Ji (Jennifer Yun). Ji pledged her life to the mafia in exchange for her fathers, she wants nothing more than to pay off her debt and return to being a full time mother. Mr. Yu, the clan leader, wants to take Haebangchon as a new means of income for his family before he retires

I was the production manager on this documentary for the second half of the shoot. I found the interviewees and organized the interviews as well as all traveling logistics for the crew over 5 different countries: Tanzania, Namibia, South Africa, Madagascar and Senegal.

The Business Film Camp was initiated by professor Daeryun Chang, in the Yonsei School of Business in Seoul, South Korea. I was in charge of conceptualizing, producing, directing and editing this promo video.

In Love is a sketch comedy show adapted from a Canadian concept. It relates the everyday life of “Guy” and “Girl,” a young couple making their way through everyday life.

I purchased the rights to develop this series in South Korea from the Canadian distributor, and then supervised the writing, directed and edited all three pilot episodes.

Open Talk is an interview pilot developed to pitch for television. It is set in a coffee where a range of interviewees discuss their mixed or emigrant backgrounds and share anecdotes about growing in a country other than their own. I created, produced, directed, and edited this pilot in the aim of pitching it to local TV channels.

If we take a look into history we can see female musicians are usually vocal based. Of course there are a variety of musicians out there but searching for female musicians who play unique instruments or non popular music is rarely in the spotlight nowadays. Actually, if we look at what the media says about this, we can see from the UK press alone that this is a problem, and even a problem in diverse and multicultural countries. This documentary explores the world of the ever elusive female musicians who are studying, working, breaking barriers down and also trying to get over the stereotypes of the South Korean music industry, in order to chase their dreams.

I was the producer for the first part of the shooting for this documentary: organizing the logistics and supporting the director in any way I could to make sure the filming and the interviews went well.

This music video is based on Jesse Day’s concept for his song Deombyo.

A mystery thriller, set in Korea, centering on the suicide of a young girl and her father's retribution against those he believes pushed her over the edge.

Vocal Context is a vocal coaching and cross-cultural consulting company lead by Amy Mihyang Ginther. I worked on this video from conception to completion with Amy. The goal was to create something simple, straightforward and intimate, with a focus on Amy’s message and voice.

GE Lookahead 2014 was held in Seoul, South Korea. I was the local producer to setup the full coverage and recording of the main panels. I was then tasked to edit this video based on the clients script and requests.

Based on an idea by Daeryun Chang, this film tells the story of a young teacher who must overcome his fear of speaking in public to truly become the teacher he wants to be and find the joy and warmth in his work.

In this comedy series, we get to see the many funny conversations that clients have at the counter of a bar, from the bartender’s point of view. I created, wrote , produced, directed and edited most of this series. All actors came from the Korean international acting scene.

Paul's search for perfection seems to have been reached with Inara but it is what happened to Aurora on that fateful night which Paul cannot and will not forget. Paul's story is that of ourselves, in constant search for perfection in our consumerist society and our inability to recognize that what we want is not necessarily what we need. Through his relationships with Inara, Aurora and Anna we see the beginnings of recognition and acceptance that there is no such thing as a perfect human being and that just maybe it is chaos and imperfection in which we can find true happiness.
